JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Hematologist/Hematology-Oncology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Cooperstown, NY • Service Setting: Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 10/26/2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: 3 Days Per Week PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adult Patients • Patient Volume/Census: 12–15 Patients Per Day • Case Mix: 80% Oncology, 20% Hematology FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard Outpatient Clinic • Specialty Backup Available: Interventional Radiology • Support Staff Available: 1 MD, 1 NP, Nursing Staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: 60–120 Days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Outpatient Hematology Care • Outpatient Oncology Care • Bone Marrow Procedures Preferred JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active New York Medical License • Board Certified • Active DEA • Board Certification Required • Hematology/Oncology Experience • Flu vaccine/declination and negative TB within one year DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate hematology and oncology patients • Manage benign and malignant conditions • Document in Epic EMR • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team • Provide high-quality outpatient cancer care
