While this is a remote position, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. This position is a field-based and regional role. Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time within assigned territory(ies). Position Responsibilities Develop and ensure the implementation of theCASsales strategy. Provides strategic leadership for the sales force and ensures alignment and partnershipwith Cardiology sales management Successfully lead the team to achieve market development and penetration in key patient populations Utilizes field visits and individual or group meetings and telephone contacts to: Train, coach, and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals/pursuits Communicate corporate and regional mission,goalsand activities Directsand motivate personnel to achieveunit,revenueand implant goals Provides ongoing feedback/coaching and regularlyschedule performance reviewsImplement corrective actions where necessary Assistemployees with Individual Development Plans (IDP’s) Develop and implement strategies to achieveshort and long termbusinessobjectives. Provide overall management of sales area assets including: Implementation and adoption of salesforce.com Developing andmanaging budgets and forecasts Ensuring efficient, effective use of inventory and expenses Negotiating and resolving price and contract issues (with Reps, Accounts, Regional management, and home office personnel) Develop ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to customers Recruit and interview candidates tomaintainstrong personnel “bench,” hire top candidates for open positions, andmeet workplace diversity goals Coordinate efforts with sales reps and managers of other product lines to diversify and maximize overall Medtronic teamwork results. Provide feedbackofmarketing intelligence tosales and marketing management Additional Job Requirements Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation Must have a valid driver’s license Must be able to stand/sit/walk for 8 hours a day Must be able to drive approximately 25-50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years’ experience in medical sales/marketing Desired/Preferred Qualifications (optional) BA/BS in life sciences, business, technicaldisciplineor related area Previoussales management experience or experience with market development businesses Experience with pacing products and knowledge of pacing customer base Experience with clinical diagnostic and monitoring devices Experience with sales and personal management functions Additionalexperience in marketing, training, technicalservicesor related areas Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$135,000.00 - $135,000.00 This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan. In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals. The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program). The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
