Health Center Manager (HCM) Location: US-TX-Denton Overview The Health Center Manager (HCM) oversees the daily operation of a health center for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas (PPGT). The primary duties include establishing an effective supervisory relationship with all health center team members, ensuring efficient, high‑quality medical services are provided in accordance with the organization’s protocols, adhering to administrative policies and procedures, and providing effective feedback to management and team members to ensure the health center runs effectively and efficiently. The manager leads the health center team to meet productivity and patient experience expectations while maintaining compliance standards. The role abides by the organization’s mission and demonstrates a commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service. Responsibilities Supervises health center staff and manages day‑to‑day operations, providing reproductive healthcare services to patients. Participates in a team approach to patient care, responding to patients’ needs with respect, knowledge, responsibility, compassion, sensitivity, cultural competence, and timely access to care. Leads staff through clear communication and training on affiliate directives, priorities, or strategic health center changes. Guides the health center team to meet productivity and revenue goals, ensuring appointment availability. Motivates, coaches, and delivers on‑the‑job training for team members, fostering a service‑oriented team and conducting regular staff meetings for communication, problem solving, and staff input. Provides leadership in operations, including selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of staff. Develops an effective leadership style, giving timely feedback and performance evaluations. Monitors health center flow to reduce bottlenecks, track patient volume, capacity, and productivity. Takes responsibility for achieving health center goals such as patient count, visit cycle time, appointment show rate, accurate payment recording, and patient satisfaction. Provides direct feedback to enhance quality, accuracy, and patient satisfaction, and coaches staff on improving customer service. Manages facility upkeep with the facility team, reporting needs promptly. Fosters a positive communication environment that encourages creativity, staff ideas, concerns, and suggestions. Maintains positive employee relations, proactively addressing concerns, documenting performance issues, and applying appropriate actions when necessary. Duties may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience, or an associate’s degree plus two years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of relevant experience.
