Job Title Speech Language Pathologist – Travel – Alameda, California Specialty Speech Language Pathologist Duration 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, 8-hour days Employment Type Travel Responsibilities Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Qualifications Minimum six months of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply. ASHA, BLS, and state-specific licensing. Additional certifications may be required before the assignment begins. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
