Server PositionPosition Summary - Pay Range $16.90/Hr + tipsThe Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests/members in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. The individual is also responsible for receiving and delivering guests orders and collecting payment.Essential FunctionsMust adhere to the company's Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.Be familiar with the organization of the Restaurant both indoor and outdoor.Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials.Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.Pre-bus all tables removing soiled dishes after each course.Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S system.Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork.Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist.Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean.Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen in the designated areas.Answer the telephone according to standards.Consistently upsell food, beverage and promotional items to guests/membersReceive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment.Ensure overall guest satisfaction.Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules.Perform other duties as requested by management.QualificationsPrevious experience as a server is a must.In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.Must be 18 years of age or older.Working Conditions and ScheduleLong hours sometimes required.Medium work - Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 15 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.Please note this job description is considered to be a general outline of the position and is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
