As a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will provide strategic leadership in the planning, design, procurement, and delivery of complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure programs throughout the Pacific Northwest. You will oversee projects from concept development and regulatory planning through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring successful execution aligned with client objectives, technical requirements, budget expectations, and schedule commitments. In this leadership role, you will manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, technical specialists, and construction professionals while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, utility agencies, regulatory stakeholders, and project partners. You will drive project performance, foster strong client relationships, identify opportunities for business growth, and provide strategic guidance on infrastructure investments that enhance system reliability, resilience, sustainability, and operational efficiency. What You’ll Do: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, overseeing project scoping, planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction support, and closeout while ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and performance objectives. Direct multidisciplinary project teams consisting of engineers, planners, scientists, environmental specialists, and technical staff in the development of studies, master plans, design documents, technical specifications, and engineering reports that meet client expectations, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Serve as the senior client relationship manager and trusted advisor, fostering strong partnerships with municipal utilities, public agencies, and private‑sector clients through proactive communication, strategic guidance, and consistent delivery of high‑quality project outcomes. Provide leadership in project governance, quality assurance, and risk management, conducting design reviews, managing technical oversight, identifying project risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful project execution. Coordinate and collaborate with subconsultants, contractors, utility stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and permitting authorities to align project objectives, resolve complex technical and operational challenges, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Drive project financial performance and operational efficiency by managing project budgets, forecasting revenue and resource needs, monitoring key performance metrics, negotiating scope changes, and ensuring overall project profitability and client satisfaction. Mentor, develop, and inspire engineering and project delivery teams, providing technical guidance, leadership coaching, and professional development opportunities that support employee growth, succession planning, and organizational excellence. Support business development and strategic growth initiatives by identifying new opportunities, participating in client engagement activities, leading proposal efforts, and contributing to the expansion of water and wastewater infrastructure services across the Seattle region and broader Pacific Northwest. Champion innovation, sustainability, and resilience in infrastructure solutions, helping clients address emerging challenges related to aging systems, regulatory compliance, climate adaptation, water resource management, and long‑term asset planning. Represent the organization in client meetings, industry conferences, public presentations, and stakeholder engagement efforts, strengthening market presence and reinforcing the firm’s reputation as a trusted leader in water and wastewater infrastructure delivery. What You’ll Need: Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. 15+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D software. Recognized as a successful seller/doer with a sustained ability to win work and maintain annual sales above $1MM. This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements. While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
