PURCHASING SUPERVISOR

Operations Management Support – Green Bay, Wisconsin Responsible for placing purchase orders to maintain inventory levels and cost control. Identify and develop qualified suppliers which meet company standards. Maintain and support company objectives for cost reduction, inventory turns and on-time delivery. Supervise and develop direct reports in the purchasing department. Perform audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Make recommendations to management for cost saving strategies. Develop, maintain and improve supplier relationships. Locate alternative suppliers, products and services. Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends. Daily checks of critical inventory. Lead a team of direct reports in Purchasing Department to accomplish goals and tasks. Key Qualifications, Abilities and Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook. Knowledge on SAP is a plus. Organizational skills, analytical and critical thinking. Strong leadership skills. Sense of urgency. 2+ years of experience in Purchasing roles for manufacturing companies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
