Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN)
Location: Portland, ME
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shifts available from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM with occasional weekends or on-call requirements.
Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, specializing in ENT, Dental, Plastics, and Trauma Level 1 procedures. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment and is expected to function collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to patients undergoing surgery.
- Assist in various surgical procedures, including laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, and head and neck surgeries.
- Monitor patient vitals and maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Coordinate with medical staff and support teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
- Valid RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
- AORN certification is a plus.
