Job Summary Clean and sanitize the production department and the production equipment utilized during the production day following Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP). Follow the Master Cleaning Schedule and perform routine cleaning of the production room to ensure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlays' mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize the production line fillers, tanks, kettles, pumps, and product hoses as outlined in the SSOPs. Perform routine cleaning of the building according to the Master Cleaning Schedule. Complete all necessary documentation paperwork. Follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Practices. Maintain schedule performance. Adhere to Health and Safety Standards. Qualifications & Requirements High School graduate or GED. Knowledge of food plant sanitizing or related services. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Quality and safety consciousness. Ability to follow policies and procedures. Positive attitude, team player, and work independently. Ability to work overtime as needed without notice. Physical Demands Work beyond regularly scheduled hours during peak periods or critical operations. Maintain adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills. Stand and walk for extended periods; perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and detailed hand tasks. Use hand and power tools, pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipment. Lift up to 50 pounds frequently; use proper lifting equipment or team‑assisted techniques for heavier items. Work in dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise, and temperature fluctuations. Wear appropriate PPE at all times. Work at elevated positions up to 50 feet with proper safety precautions. Operate in limited or cramped spaces and extend arms into machinery for inspection, cleaning, or maintenance. Work Environment Dynamic manufacturing environment with potential exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise, and temperature variations. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times, including safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields as required. Perform tasks at elevated positions up to 50 feet with safety precautions. Operate in limited or cramped spaces while following established safety protocols. Quality Statement Follow GMPs, allergen control, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements to produce consistently safe, quality products. Document visitor, contractor, and customer visits to maintain GMPs, allergen controls, and HACCP. Report all food safety and quality issues to management immediately. Collaborate with colleagues across functions to share quality and food safety knowledge. Adhere to all health and safety work practices. Understand and communicate Finlays' quality and safety standards. Handle customer complaints professionally and promptly. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
