Calibration Technician

Calibration TechnicianPGS Worldwide is seeking a Calibration Technician in Orlando, FL for an approximately one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will calibrate, test, adjust, maintain, and repair a variety of optical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical measuring and test equipment.Required SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; no degree required.2+ years of relevant experience.Experience working with and measuring optics.Experience with test and measurement calibration tools, including interferometers, autocollimators, optical alignment scopes, IR equipment, oscilloscopes, RF generators, and digital multimeters (DMM).Electronic experience.Physical calibration experience.Experience with IndySoft calibration software.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use it to read procedures.What You'll DoCalibrate optical and electronic measuring equipment and signal-generating equipment to established standards.Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain optical, electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydromechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.Set up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed specifications and requirements.Work from blueprints, drawings, and technical procedures.Disassemble and clean test equipment.Troubleshoot and repair equipment and replace defective components as needed.Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other applicable control procedures.Work Schedule / Shift1st shift.Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-4:30 PM.Pay$35.96 per hour.Job ID: 22856Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
