Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Rose Paving LLC Position Summary Rose Paving is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead the development, management, and evolution of the company's business intelligence, analytics, and reporting environment. This individual will be responsible for transforming enterprise data into actionable insights through Power BI, Snowflake, and data warehousing technologies while supporting strategic decision‑making across Finance, Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, understands financial and operational reporting, and can translate complex business requirements into meaningful dashboards, reports, data models, and executive insights. Construction, contracting, field services, or manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred. This role also serves as the primary business owner for the Experlogix CPQ platform, the system Rose Paving uses to configure, price, and quote every customer bid. The successful candidate will own the pricing structures, cost models, units of measure, business rules, and calculation logic that directly affect quoting accuracy, margin, and profitability across multiple operating locations. Because CPQ sits where construction, finance, and technology meet, this position calls for someone who blends construction or field services knowledge with financial and systems depth. As Rose Paving expands its use of Artificial Intelligence, this individual will also help identify and implement AI‑driven analytics capabilities that improve reporting, forecasting, trend identification, and decision‑making. Essential Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Reporting Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and KPI metrics. Partner with executive leadership to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements. Develop reporting for revenue, gross margin, backlog, job costing, production, equipment utilization, sales performance, and operational efficiency. Create executive dashboards and self‑service reporting solutions. Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and usability across the organization. Deliver meaningful business insights and recommendations based on data analysis and trends. Experlogix CPQ Administration Serve as the primary business owner and administrator for Experlogix CPQ, the configuration and pricing engine behind every bid and proposal Rose Paving delivers to customers. Build, maintain, and enhance the logic‑based configuration rules, pricing formulas, cost models, and rate tables that drive accurate, consistent quotes. Manage units of measure, location‑specific and territory‑based pricing, and multi‑office configuration across Rose Paving and its acquired entities. Maintain guided selling, quote approval workflows, and discount governance that protect margin and enforce pricing consistency. Manage quote and proposal document output, templates, and related automation. Support and maintain the integration between Experlogix CPQ and Dynamics365Sales (XRM) and Business Central. Partner with Sales, Estimating, and Finance to improve quoting accuracy and speed, and troubleshoot and optimize CPQ functionality as the business evolves. Data Warehouse & Data Management Manage and support the company's Power BI, Snowflake, and Fivetran data warehouse environment. Develop and maintain data models, reporting structures, and data relationships. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure data quality and integrity. Support data governance initiatives and reporting standards. Continuously improve data accessibility, reporting performance, and analytics capabilities. Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Evaluate and implement AI‑driven analytics capabilities within Power BI, Snowflake, and related platforms. Leverage AI tools to improve forecasting, trend analysis, anomaly detection, and executive reporting. Identify opportunities to automate reporting and enhance decision‑making through artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities. Stay current on emerging analytics, business intelligence, and AI technologies. Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement Analyze operational and financial performance trends and surface what they mean for the business. Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership to understand business challenges and reporting needs. Present findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner. Partner directly with Executive Leadership, FP&A, and Operations to drive data‑informed decisions. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or related roles. Advanced experience developing enterprise dashboards and reports in Power BI. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, architecture, and best practices. Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud‑based data warehouse platforms. Strong SQL skills and experience working with large and complex datasets. Strong understanding of financial and operational reporting concepts such as job costing, gross margin, revenue, and backlog. Comfort working with pricing, costing, formulas, and business‑rule‑driven systems. Experience translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Preferred Construction, paving, engineering, field services, manufacturing, or related industry experience strongly preferred. Hands‑on experience building job costing, revenue forecasting, gross margin, backlog, and operational KPI reporting. Experience administering Experlogix CPQ or a similar Configure, Price, Quote platform, including pricing logic, cost models, formulas, and business‑rule configuration. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales (XRM) and Business Central. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI‑enabled reporting tools. Microsoft Power BI certifications. Snowflake certifications. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data to business outcomes. Strong understanding of pricing, costing, and business‑rule‑driven systems. Ability to think strategically while remaining hands‑on technically. Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and data quality. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively across Finance, Operations, Sales, and IT teams.
