Systems Engineer II

As a Systems Engineer II at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement advanced systems solutions that drive innovation and efficiency within the aerospace industry. You will report directly to our Senior Systems Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the advancement of aerospace systems by ensuring robust system design, integration, and performance that meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities Requirements analysis, authoring various systems artifacts, participate in Systems development activities and analysis for aircraft sub‑systems Support the design and development of advanced aerospace systems, including hardware, software, and network components Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects ensuring system integration and performance Lead the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, implement enhancements, and contribute to the optimization of operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics 1 or more year of experience in systems engineering with a focus on aerospace or related industries Knowledge of Aerospace standards and familiarity with DO178B/C Knowledge of systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting in complex environments We Value Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related fields Experience leading complex aerospace system integration projects Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging aerospace technologies Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment Passion for innovation and continuous learning Benefits of Working for Honeywell In addition to a competitive salary, leading‑edge work, and developing solutions side‑by‑side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
