UW Medicine Montlake Digestive Health Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) Day Shift/Mondays-Fridays.

Department Description

The Digestive Health Center at UW Medical Center - Montlake offers a full range of consultations and procedures for the care of digestive disorders and problems of the gastrointestinal system. Conditions treated include abdominal pain, gastroesophageal reflux disease, swallowing disorders, celiac disease, nutrition disorders, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, disorders of the pancreas and bile ducts, and functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome. The Digestive Health Center also offers screening services for prevention and early diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers. This includes colorectal cancer screening procedures such as colonoscopy and surveillance of other precancerous conditions such as Barrett's esophagus or intestinal metaplasia of the stomach.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
• Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
• Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
• Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent AND one year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR an equivalent combination of education/experience
