Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult trauma patients; few to zero pediatric patients
Setting: Level II Trauma Center
Responsibilities: Manage trauma service patients, perform assessments, develop treatment plans, monitor and manage patients, facilitate admissions and discharges, and support the trauma surgeon on call
Required Procedures: Local anesthesia, laceration repair, drain removal, suture removal, wound debridement and closure, incision and drainage, fracture reductions, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, arterial line insertion, and other listed trauma procedures
EMR System: Cerner Care B
Support Staff: One additional Trauma NP/PA working the day shift (7:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Days Per Month: Coverage dates include Sept 4 6, Oct 7, Oct , Oct , and Oct
On-Call/Weekends: N/A; weekends may be part of the schedule

Submission Requirements:

• NCCPA or ANCC Certified Required
• Active California License; NPs must have CA NP furnishing number Required
• CA DEA, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS Required
• Must be actively working at a TJC-accredited hospital Required
