Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of students as a Paraprofessional supporting schools across El Dorado County, from El Dorado Hills to the breathtaking Lake Tahoe area. This is a contract opportunity, perfect for candidates who are passionate about working with students who have moderate to severe behavioral needs in both classroom aide and 1:1 support settings.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active CPI and CPR certifications required
- Experience working as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Technician, or Aide in educational settings
- Confidence in supporting students with high behavioral needs
- Flexibility to work in various classroom environments throughout El Dorado County
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and specialists
- Compassionate and patient approach to student support
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support for students in mod-severe classrooms, including 1:1 and small group environments
- Assist students in achieving individualized behavioral and educational goals
- Implement behavior intervention strategies developed by team specialists
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Support academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster positive experiences for students
