Metal Finishing Associate

Job Description Job Description Metal Finishing Associate Hands-on manufacturing role working on custom metal products We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Metal Finishing Associate to join our production team. This position involves polishing and finishing small metal parts and custom pieces in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is comfortable performing detailed, repetitive work. The products being worked on include custom badges and metal pieces used for police, fire departments, and other specialty applications. Key Responsibilities: * Grind, sand, buff, and polish small metal components * Use polishing and buffing equipment to create a smooth, high-quality finish * Hold and rotate metal pieces against polishing wheels and buffers * Inspect finished products for quality and consistency * Perform sorting and organization of completed materials * Follow production instructions and work tickets carefully * Maintain a clean and organized work area * Assist with additional production duties as needed Training Provided In: * Sanding operations * Buffing and polishing techniques * Pumicing operations * Sorting and finishing procedures Qualifications: * Previous manufacturing, polishing, assembly, or production experience preferred * Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination * Ability to perform repetitive hand work with consistency * Comfortable working with small metal parts * Good communication and organizational skills * Reliable attendance and strong work ethic * Ability to sit for extended periods during portions of the shift Why Candidates Will Like This Role: * Stable manufacturing environment * Hands-on work with visible finished products * Opportunity to learn specialized polishing and finishing skills * Team-oriented atmosphere * Long-term opportunity with growth potential Hours: 7:00am-3:45pm Monday-Friday Pay Rate: $19.00/hr Company Description The Alpha Group is one of Massachusetts largest privately owned staffing firms.
