About the Role As the Assistant Restaurant Manager , you’ll partner closely with the Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across our full-service restaurant, lounge, and in-room dining. You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences while helping drive operational excellence and team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same—perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring others, solving challenges in real time, and making a direct impact on both guests and team members. What You’ll Do Lead and inspire a large team of Ohio State student employees, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing work environment Support daily operations across the restaurant, lounge, and in-room dining to ensure seamless service and consistency Deliver exceptional guest experiences, handling feedback and concerns with professionalism and care Collaborate with culinary leadership to exceed guest expectations and elevate the dining experience Drive operational excellence through scheduling, payroll oversight, training, and performance management Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and sustainability Contribute to financial success, ensuring operations run efficiently and profitably What Makes You a Great Fit You’re organized, adaptable, and creative, with a passion for hospitality You’re committed to delivering memorable guest experiences every day You excel in a dynamic environment and are comfortable juggling multiple priorities Schedule & Flexibility This role requires flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 hospitality operation, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc. Position Type: Regular Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
