The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography procedures with precision and safety under the supervision of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist. They ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and effective operation of advanced imaging equipment. Responsibilities:
- Position and instruct patients for CT scans to ensure accurate and comfortable procedures.
- Operate Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner and other specialized imaging equipment.
- Determine and adjust technical factors for proper exposure and image quality.
- Ensure correct marking and labeling of all radiographic films in compliance with protocols.
- Provide safe, efficient patient care while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Take call shifts as required to support 24/7 diagnostic imaging services.
- Hold a diploma from an AMA-approved Radiology program and be ARRT registered.
- Demonstrate proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and radiologic procedures.
- Preferably possess a minimum of two years of diagnostic imaging experience.
- Be capable of applying proper body mechanics and lifting techniques for patient and equipment safety.
- Exhibit strong computer skills and manual dexterity to handle delicate imaging equipment.
- Maintain physical stamina and flexibility to perform physically demanding tasks.
