Primary Responsibilities: Payroll & Compensation: Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring complete accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. You will oversee time-and-attendance tracking, manage deductions, handle year-end reporting (such as W-2 adjustments), manage unemployment insurance and taxes, and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees. Benefits Administration: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits. You will administer health, dental, vision, and retirement plans, lead the annual open enrollment process, implement a communication cadence for our offerings, manage leaves of absence (FMLA/LOA), and partner with benefits brokers to review and optimize our offerings. Performance Management & Employee Relations: Oversee and facilitate the company-wide performance appraisal and review cycles, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational goals. You will coach and guide managers on effective goal-setting, continuous feedback, and documented evaluation practices. Additionally, you will support leadership in addressing employee relations inquiries, managing performance concerns, and administering Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or corrective actions when necessary. HR Compliance: Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (including FLSA, ACA, OSHA, and EEOC). You will ensure the HRIS system data is accurate, audit and maintain HR files, update the employee handbook and circulate for acknowledgement, manage Company compliance training, and ensure all mandatory workplace compliance standards are met. Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: Drive the recruitment process to build a strong talent pipeline. This includes collaborating with hiring managers to define role requirements, drafting and posting job openings, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and facilitating a seamless onboarding experience. Other: Main point of contact for general T&C questions regarding policy / practice, etc. Perform other duties as assigned, including support for T&C team, as requested. Requirements Qualifications: 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources generalist experience, with demonstrated hands-on experience managing payroll, benefits, performance management, and recruiting. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. HR certifications (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) are highly valued. Proficiency with HRIS platforms and payroll software, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and standard office productivity suites. Paylocity knowledge is a plus. Deep understanding of employment laws, and payroll and benefits compliance. Exceptional organizational abilities, detail orientation and accuracy. Ability to maintain a high level of discretion when handling confidential data, and strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and a desire to learn. Strong character, ethics, commitment and reliability. Effective time management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn new software applications and internal processes quickly. Ability to function well in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. Ability to collaborate and communicate within a multi-department environment. Desire to work in a hybrid work environment, both in office and at home.
