Maintenance Technician

Location: Maize, KS & Valley Center, KS
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM OR
3 days per week, 8-hour shifts

Travel Required: Must be willing to travel between Maize and Valley Center locations.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to support operations at two properties located in Maize, KS and Valley Center, KS . This position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional who can work independently and efficiently while handling a variety of repair and maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform general property maintenance and repairs.
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
Repair, install, and maintain household and commercial appliances.
Complete basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, drains, toilets, and minor pipe repairs.
Perform drywall repairs, patching, texturing, and painting.
Complete unit make-readies , including repairs, cleaning coordination, and inspections.
Install and repair doors, locks, fixtures, cabinets, and other building components.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs as required.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure properties remain in excellent condition.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Travel between Maize and Valley Center properties as needed.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance experience required.
Strong knowledge of general maintenance, appliance repair, drywall, and basic plumbing.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
Experience with make-readies and property turnover processes preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance work.
