The Multi-Specialty Clinic RN coordinates care and treatments, has primary care and nursing duties involving complete oncology care for patients and their families, and acts as a liaison with other departments to coordinate patient treatment and care. Other duties include: develop, interpret, evaluate, implement, and document plan of care for the patients, provide specific teaching, counseling, consultation, and nursing care both independently and as directed by the physician or advanced practitioner.Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance.
