Staff Accountant Fading West Development

The Staff Accountant works with management and staff across all departments and facilities to prepare and perform transactions and financial reports. This person will work closely with the Director of Finance and the finance team assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting – general ledger journal entries, project accounting for manufacturing and construction, account reconciliations, supporting workpapers for accounts, analysis of accounts for completeness, variances and explanation of changes or variances Banking - post receipts, credit card entries and account reconciliation. Accounts Receivable – invoicing, review of A/R Aging categories, support collection efforts Accounts Payable – responsible for matching of purchase orders, receiving and invoices for materials in inventory, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date aging of invoices, preparing related reports and preparing payments. Payroll – processing journal entries and reconciling accounts as requested. Other – Other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Accounting degree or two years’ experience performing account reconciliations, entering invoices and billing Proficient in various software programs such as Acumatica, Sage Contractor 100, MS Excel, MS Word and Microsoft 365 Cloud based systems (SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) Legible handwriting, excellent grammar and spelling skills. Ability to prioritize and receive direction from multiple people. Demonstrate professionalism with vendors, customers and co-workers in a consistent business-like manner. Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to step in and help others on the team to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills within the team, across departments and with vendors. Willingness to prioritize work according to goals and deadlines of the department and company. Adherence to the core values of the company. Punctual, dependable and consistent.

REQUIREMENTS

In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely) This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-disclosure agreement. Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be competent and comfortable in advanced computer skills and navigating modern technology. Overtime as required by the business needs of the company.

COMPENSATION

Hourly Rate Range: $25 - $33.65 per hour (Rate commensurate with experience) Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
