Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our team. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) and a background in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, developing and implementing program strategies, and leading cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Manage complex engineering projects within the Department of Defense industry, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop and implement program strategies that align with organizational objectives. Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, effectively managing all stages of the project life cycle. Collaboratively lead cross-functional teams, fostering a positive team environment that encourages innovation and growth. Work closely with client stakeholders, effectively communicating project status, issues, and successes. Lead process creation and documentation, ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Facilitate meetings, presentations, and workshops to drive project progress and stakeholder alignment. Continuously improve project management tools and processes to increase team efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project management within the Department of Defense (DoD) industry. Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and financial forecasting. Proven experience in manufacturing and engineering industries. Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work with client stakeholders. Extensive experience in process creation and documentation. Proficient in project management software tools. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus. U.S. citizenship is required due to the sensitive nature of the work. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to travel as needed.
