Job Description

The Fabrication Supervisor oversees the roller and fabrication team on first shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of fabrication equipment. This role focuses on leading operators who work with brakes, lasers, punches, turrets, and related machinery, while closely collaborating with engineering and quality teams to meet production and quality standards. The supervisor supports equipment setup and programming activities and helps team members grow their skills across multiple machines in a clean, organized shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the roller and fabrication team on first shift, ensuring daily production goals are met safely and efficiently.

• Oversee the setup, programming, and operation of fabrication equipment such as press brakes, lasers, punches, turrets, and related machinery.

• Coordinate work with engineering and quality teams to maintain product specifications, resolve technical issues, and continuously improve processes.

• Ensure operators correctly set up and run a variety of brake press machines, including brands such as Diamond, Triumph, Toyoke, and others.

• Review and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication work, verify part accuracy, and support team members in understanding design requirements.

• Monitor quality of fabricated parts using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers, and take corrective action when needed.

• Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment by reinforcing housekeeping standards and safe operating procedures.

• Encourage cross-training and skill development so team members can learn and operate different machinery throughout the shop.

• Foster effective communication within the team, providing clear direction, feedback, and support to maintain a strong work ethic and positive culture.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment optimization, and workforce development.

• Support shift flexibility by helping plan staffing and machine coverage to meet production demands.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and production schedules while minimizing downtime and rework.

This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
