About the Position

Job Description

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon for a short-term locum tenens weekend assignment in Beckley, West Virginia.

This opportunity consists of two consecutive 24-hour beeper-call shifts providing inpatient General Surgery and trauma coverage at a Level III hospital. There is no scheduled clinic , and the physician rounds only on their own patients.

Compensation: $4,500 per 24-hour call shift, including the first 2 hours of call-back/patient-care time during EACH 24-hour period. Call-back exceeding 2 hours during that individual 24-hour period is paid at $425/hour.

The 2-hour gratis allowance resets at the beginning of each 24-hour call shift.
