Insulator (McIntosh, AL) - Austin Industrial Full‑time maintenance position, 40 hours a week (4/10's). No per diem or relocation funding. Responsibilities Experience as an Industrial Insulator of 3+ years required. Install temp mat and pads; install pipe covering and fittings (Calcium Silicate). Form sheet metal around pipes, ductwork, and industrial equipment. Install insulation and fittings, pipe cover and board materials such as perlite and calcium silicate. Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws or bands to protect insulation. Make flat sheet metal layouts of finished parts (square‑to‑round transitions, offsets, flashing, tapered elbows, transitional elbows, Y branches, compound fittings). Brush adhesives and mastic onto insulation material. Measure and cut metal material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces. Use hand tools and equipment to form, crimp, or roll metal in place. Wear personal protective equipment (rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, fire‑resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, safety glasses). Maintain full range of mobility in upper and lower body; reach overhead; work in various positions; climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3 years of industrial insulator experience. Must pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
