Clinical Supervisor BCBA - IDD Services - Relocate to Seattle/Renton Washington Fremont, CA, USA • California, USA Job Description Posted Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 6:00 AM Planning a move to the Seattle WA area? We’re happy to help with relocation costs for qualified candidates. We also assist with expenses related to changing over your BCBA License to a Washington State BCBA license. Job Summary: This position requires an experienced BCBA with extensive experience and advanced training in assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior within a residential setting. Qualifications include advanced expertise in functional analysis, empirically validated behavior reduction strategies, reinforcement-based interventions, crisis management, and staff training/support. The candidate must lead a highly engaged, collaborative, and accountable behavioral support team while ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical, and best practice standards for intensive behavioral services in a residential setting. Successful candidates design, implement, and monitor comprehensive behavior support plans informed by functional assessment data. They demonstrate expertise in addressing severe challenging behavior including aggression, self‑injurious behavior, property destruction, elopement, and other high‑risk behaviors. The BCBA prioritizes safety, trauma‑informed care, skill acquisition, independence, and improved quality of life, with interventions focused on reducing the need for restrictive practices. The candidate will conduct, administer, evaluate, and oversee comprehensive behavioral assessments (e.g., PFA, Vineland, AFLS, and other relevant tools) to identify strengths, needs, and behavioral functions of individuals living in high‑behavior‑needs group home settings. Assessment findings inform individualized behavior support plans, guide the selection of function‑based interventions, skill acquisition goals, and support strategies that promote safe independence across the home, community, and structured program environments. Additionally, the candidate provides effective clinical leadership and oversight to ensure staff are trained and competent in implementing behavior support plans, crisis prevention and de‑escalation strategies, and evidence‑based behavioral interventions for individuals with significant behavioral needs. The BCBA delivers ongoing coaching, modeling, and performance feedback to direct care staff to maintain high treatment fidelity in the residential environment. People We Serve (50%) Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data are collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives. Ensures utilization of clinically recommended service hours. Develops/writes comprehensive reports documenting behavioral recommendations for guardians, caregivers and agency personnel accurately and timely. Maintains availability to respond to the needs of the persons we serve, providing consultation and on‑site assistance to behavior crisis situations. Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner. Meets regularly with Director of Behavioral Services; immediately notifies on issues impacting people we serve regarding their progress and satisfaction. Training and Development (30%) Teaches management staff and DSPs on the proper implementation of reinforcement, initiative‑taking, and preventative behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems. Conducts regular caregiver and/or staff training and consultation. Performs monthly BT/RBT integrity checks and provides timely and compassionate feedback. Demonstrates leadership that results in low attrition among technicians and RBTs working with individuals with significant, complex behavior needs. Leadership (15%) As a role model for behavior technicians, RBTs, and practicum students, aligns the passion and talents of others to serve the people we support by actively developing others, empowering teams, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, and showing recognition and appreciation to attract and retain top talent. Participates in AbleLight leadership processes in Talent Acquisition and Quarterly Connections. Receives and applies constructive feedback and is independent with communicating when additional support is needed. Professional Development (5%) Participates in professional meetings or conferences as required by the director of behavioral services and as required by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or by state rules and regulations to maintain certification, licensure and/or status as a provider. Maintains any required training to include any necessary crisis management procedures in the behavior plans as needed.
