The Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator - Off-Cycle Processing role is responsible for administering pay processing actions across multiple RTX business units including: Raytheon, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate. This role ensures accurate calculation, entry, reconciliation, and compliance for processes including but not limited to: off-cycle check processing, transfers, terminations, short-term and long-term military differential pay, and daily data changes according to federal regulations (USERRA), SOX controls, union CBAs, and RTX policies. This position will partner closely with the following teams: LOA, Payroll Operations, TLM, HR, and the business units to ensure timely and accurate payroll transaction processing.

What You Will Do

• Complete multiple off-cycle payroll processing procedures while ensuring accurate earnings and deductions, and meeting strict payroll deadlines.
• Apply state/local laws, union rules, and BU-specific policies to transaction processing while supporting audit activities by maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all payroll actions.
• Monitor and process changes to employee status (Active, Paid LOA, Return from LOA), performing the appropriate transactions associated with each.
• Prepare, audit, and submit payment transactions related to terminations, transfers, and daily employee info changes for weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly pay cycles across all divisions.
• Collaborate with the Payroll Service Center to load, validate, and reconcile payment batches.
• Review and process military leave cases submitted via ServiceNow (SNOW) for Short and Long-Term Military leaves across all business units.
• Collaborate with LOA Team, HR, Payroll Ops, and Time & Labor on case processing and employee inquiries.
• Directly communicate results of calculations, discrepancies, and case resolutions to employees and stakeholders.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires an Associates degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in payroll operations or an adjacent field, preferably in a large multi-business unit organization.
• 6+ years of experience with payroll concepts including earnings, deductions, pretax adjustments, autopay, and offsets.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working with tools such as ADP EV5, Workday, SNOW, and reporting systems.
• Proficiency in analyzing Leave & Earnings Statement documents and applying military pay rates to payroll calculations.
• Experience processing termination and transfer transactions related to final pay and other time-off payouts across business units.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and payroll compliance processes.
• Advanced Excel analytical skills (Pivot Tables, Xlookup, etc.)
• Ability to work with complex multi-system workflows, adhering to federal laws and regulations while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and audit skills.

Work Location: This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance of Cedar Rapids IA, Dallas TX, Tucson, AZ, Hartford CT.

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
