Head Pastry Chef

As the Head Pastry Chef at our luxury hotel in Akron you will be responsible for creating and overseeing all aspects of our pastry department. Your creativity, attention to detail and leadership skills will ensure that our guests have a memorable dining experience. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month. In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing new pastry menus as well as maintaining the quality and consistency of our current offerings. You will also oversee the training and development of pastry staff ensuring that they are all equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional desserts. As a Head Pastry Chef you will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering supplies and controlling costs to ensure profitability. You will work closely with other departments to coordinate special events and menu changes. In addition you will maintain high levels of cleanliness and food safety standards in the pastry kitchen. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a pastry chef preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting. You must have excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of baking techniques, flavor combinations and plating presentations is essential. As this is an English-speaking position fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Indian cuisine or experience working with Indian ingredients is preferred but not required.
