Job Overview

Pay Range: $14.60hr - $19.60hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Ability to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
• Ability to maintain expected quality levels.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to become a certified operator for autoclave, etch, or alloy verification.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting with moving mechanical parts and exposure to fumes, dust, or heat.
• Compliance with all department, facility, corporate, and regulatory EHS regulations.
• Requirement to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities:

• Work as a team member to remove, clean, cut, and verify castings in the post cast area.
• Perform knockout, low temp/autoclave, and cutoff/grinding/CNC/waterblast/revert processing.
• Execute sandblast, expediting, vibratory, and acid etch tasks.
• Conduct primary inspection of products.
• Perform accurate labor reporting.
• Verify quality of work by recognizing defects and checking work tolerance.
• Remove excess gating from products.
• Perform calibrated measurements of chemicals.
• Clean work areas and maintain a clean work environment including 5S cleaning activities.
• Report all job-related illnesses, injuries, and safety concerns to a supervisor in a timely manner.
• Attend all required EHS training sessions.

Qualification And Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements (Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

• Ability to lift 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to push, pull, and twist.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull when retrieving and moving items.
• Ability to lift approximately 50% of the time.
• Ability to squat and crouch when retrieving items from lower shelves.
• Ability to stand 80% of the time.
• Ability to meet visual standards including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to wear a chemical suit for 90% of the shift including hard hat, gloves, sleeves, and a long coat.
