We are now seeking a diligent and organised Accounting Assistant to join our team on a Full-Time basis in Virginia Beach, Virginia . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the smooth financial operations of a customer-focused company. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Processing and verifying invoices, expense claims, and payment requests. Performing daily data entry of financial transactions into our accounting system. Reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements. Supporting the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Maintaining accurate and organised financial files and records. Liaising with internal departments and external partners regarding financial enquiries. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in an accounting or finance-related role. A strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel. Hands‑on experience with accounting software is highly desirable. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential. What We Offer A competitive annual salary ranging from $35,000 to $65,000 USD , dependent on experience.
