Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Stepdown setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform cardiac monitoring duties including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring (unit and remote), and coordination with Rapid Response Teams
• Manage a broad range of clinical skills including IV therapy, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, heparin protocols, cardiac drip titration, and PCA management
• Provide neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical care including CVA management, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and non-invasive airway support (CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC)
• Fulfill Holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit; expected to work 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed to meet patient care demands

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license - pending licenses are not accepted; candidates must hold both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or a compact license) at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and stepdown/PCU clinical skills
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (maximum 7 days) must be finalized at time of submission; no additional RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience in neuro stepdown, post-cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac cath, and renal/hemodialysis management
• Familiarity with Epic EMR; ability to complete Epic test-out or module training prior to start
