Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - 2290 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: EKG interpretation and medication titration required.

Unit Details: Adult cardio-thoracic telemetry unit with MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery patients with frequent chest tubes, esophagectomy patients not fresh from PACU, and general medicine overflow. Nurse: patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6. Titrate drips, mainly Cardizem and heparin. Uses Phillips telemetry monitors; monitor techs are available, and nurses must read and interpret their own strips. CPAP, BiPAP if it is the patient’s home regimen, and heated high flow only in special circumstances with COVID patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; days work Saturday/Sunday. Holiday rotation for days includes Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. No call at this time.

Floating Requirements: Float to other general medical units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
