Maintenance Technician - Sterling Heights, MichiganContract position - open endedPay Rate: $29.00 per hour ($34.00 per hour Journeyman/Licensed)Shifts Available:First Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm Monday-Friday, weekends and OT mandatory as scheduledSecond Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday-Friday, weekends and OT mandatory as scheduledWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, automation systems, and facility systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and a solid electrical background in a light industrial manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:Perform a wide range of repairs on manufacturing tools, equipment, machinery, and facility systemsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issuesSupport production equipment uptime through preventative and corrective maintenanceDiagnose and repair assembly automation systems and manufacturing production toolsTroubleshoot electrical controls, motor controls, drives, VFD drives, relays, contactors, sensors and related systemsPerform light fabrication and MIG welding as neededFollow Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures and maintain a safe working environmentAssist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projectsMaintain maintenance records such as work orders and preventive maintenance and communicate repair status effectivelyRequired Qualifications & Skills of the Maintenance Technician:Strong mechanical aptitude with solid electrical troubleshooting experienceExperience with:o Equipment repairo Assembly automation repairo Electrical and pneumatic systems repairo Light fabrication and MIG weldingo Manufacturing production tool repairo Electrical controls troubleshootingo Motor controls and drives including VFDs and servo systemsKnowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and basic industrial safety practicesAbility to understand electrical schematicsPreferred / Beneficial Skills of the Maintenance Technician:Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Logix 5000 programmingFanuc robot troubleshooting and teaching experienceAGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) maintenanceOEM and/or Tier One manufacturing experienceExperience with fastening systems and torque-controlled screw gunsA successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.By applying for this role, you confirm that all information submitted is accurate and complete.
