Retail General Manager – Austin & Surrounding Areas

Salary: $58,000 - $74,000 annually (DOE)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 after 30 days of employment
Quarterly Bonus Potential: Earn up to 25% of your quarterly salary through a performance-based incentive program

Are you an experienced retail leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer experiences? We are looking for a Retail General Manager to oversee a high-volume retail operation in the Austin area.

In this role, you will take ownership of all aspects of store performance, including sales, production, staffing, customer service, inventory management, and profitability. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing people while achieving business goals.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring a safe, productive, and customer-focused environment.

• Oversee both sales floor and production operations to maximize efficiency and merchandise flow.

• Drive revenue growth through effective merchandising, inventory management, and operational execution.

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members, including Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Processors, and Sales Associates.

• Create a positive workplace culture that promotes accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience for shoppers and donors.

• Monitor key performance indicators and utilize data to improve store performance.

• Manage store budgets, payroll, scheduling, attendance, and labor productivity.

• Maintain responsibility for profit and loss performance and achievement of business objectives.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention procedures.

• Address employee and customer concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.

• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of retail management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Experience leading large teams in a high-volume retail environment.

• Strong knowledge of store operations, staffing, employee development, and customer service.

• Experience managing budgets, payroll, scheduling, and profit and loss performance.

• Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher.

• Experience in thrift, resale, discount retail, or similar retail environments.

• Proficiency with retail technology, reporting tools, and computer applications.

• Strong analytical and business acumen skills.
