Facility Housekeeper

Housekeeping PositionThe Housekeeping position at the Pounding Mill VA Hotel individual contributor role. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel to ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience for all guests. This role requires a hard-working individual with attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional service.This position offers a competitive salary within the hospitality industry, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes employee discounts and opportunities for career advancement.Responsibilities:Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms, ensuring all rooms are up to company and industry standards.Change linens, make beds, dust surfaces, vacuum and mop floors, and replenish amenities as needed.Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, addressing any concerns and rectifying issues to ensure complete guest satisfaction.Assist in laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens.Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage rooms and supply closets.Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, especially during peak seasons.Follow all safety and sanitation procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate parties.Attend training and meetings as required by VP Management to stay updated on company policies and procedures.Requirements:Previous experience in housekeeping within the hospitality industry is preferred.Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, and reaching.Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.EEOC Statement: At VP Management, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected characteristic.
