Call Center Pharmacist

The Phoenix, AZ location is a fast-paced compounding pharmacy with a dynamic and energetic team of individuals. We are currently seeking a Pharmacist in the Call Center for our Closed Door Pharmacy. This position will utilize his/her skills and experiences to uphold pharmacy standards for counseling, dispensing, record keeping and quality assurance programs. A pharmacist will be able to demonstrate leadership by coaching and mentoring pharmacy team members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide prompt and respectful service to all customers.
• Reviews and interprets veterinarian's orders for appropriateness relevant to, to ensure that overdoses or under-doses have not been prescribed and that interactions, incompatibilities or toxic compounds will not result from a combination of medications.
• Counsels patients (pet owners) about their medications and maintains an accurate, up-to-date profile.
• Verifies the work performed by support personnel, which includes pet drug data entry.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the profession and your license.
• Ensures that the quality of the professional services is maintained.
• Ability to resolve issues with incoming prescriptions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Have knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and doses.
• Knowledge of customer relations theory and practice.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and retain information
• Must have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with coworkers and customers.
• Must be able to operate PC & telephone.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

• Arizona state pharmacy licensure in good standing.
