The Senior Specialist, Patient Registration works in conjunction with Sales to prepare patients for OCH services and facilitates all aspects of the patient’s transition to home/AIS. Additional reponsibilities as designated by leadership inclusive but not limited to training and special projects and any additional tasks assigned by manager.Job Description:Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance program).Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing).Assist Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed including acting as backup for Lead Specialist.Assists Lead by communicating opportunities for improvement in process and offers resolutions to present to PRMSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities?
