A growing, privately held distribution and retail organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team. This is a direct hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth as the company continues to expand.
Location & Schedule
- Canby, OR
- 100% onsite for the first 6 months; opportunity to transition to hybrid (23 days remote)
- MondayFriday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Business casual work environment
Compensation
- $27.00 $29.00/hour

Position Overview
This role supports a high-volume accounts payable function across their complex AP needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and experienced with full-cycle AP processes including three-way matching.
Key Responsibilities
- Process 150200 invoices weekly with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform three-way matching for operating expenses
- Track invoice approvals and prepare items for check runs
- Reconcile vendor statements and maintain open transaction records
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and exception issues
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve questions
- Assist with process improvements and support team initiatives
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on accounts payable
- Strong experience with three-way matching in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
- Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies independently
- Experience working within larger accounting teams
