Carol Stream, 720 Center Ave, Carol Stream, Illinois, United States of America Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects for maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide Maker’s Pride employees and the manufacturing staff. The incumbent is also responsible for the supervising, training and mentoring members of the Maintenance department. This position exists to ensure the production equipment is properly maintained in order to produce and package all products. This position reports to the Plant Manager and oversees a team of around 35 maintenance team members. JOB DUTIES Responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects for maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide Maker’s Pride employees and the manufacturing staff. Responsible for the creation and delivery of all key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for the Maintenance department. Responsible for maintaining key equipment parts inventory, managing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, managing the Work Order system and managing the overall day-to-day activities of the Maintenance department. Develop, maintain and continuously improve on all standard operating procedures as they relate to our maintenance programs (predictive and preventative) to meet all company and customer requirements. Evaluate the performance of direct reports against their job requirements and performance goals. Requires partnering with Corporate regarding corporate programs and best practices. Maintain a safety, sanitation and GMP awareness within the department. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES Maker’s Pride procurement, products and production processes Knowledge and experience with EAM and SAP Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards Demonstrated proficiency in a multi-craft maintenance role and continuous improvementis required. Experience in PLC programming a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in developing both predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Maintaining harmonious relationships and effectively communicating with all customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide employees and manufacturing staff. Be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency inMS Office Suite, EAM, and SAP. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in business/technical-related field is required. Five (5) – Seven (7) years of related work experience, including experience managing and leading a Maintenance department in the Food Industry. Must be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to uphold Maker’s Pride’s mission, vision and values on a daily basis. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sitting at a workstation for infrequent periods of time. Stand, walk and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift 25 pounds on an infrequent basis. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is done in both an office and production floor setting. Frequent production environment exposure, which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts and fluctuations in temperature. Senior Management has identified this position having responsibility to meet food safety and quality objectives and the requirements of the SQF System. During absence, this position will be backed up by a direct reporting supervisor. Current training program (annual learning plan) ensures this position and its back-ups are competent to carry out functions pertaining to food safety and quality. The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $97,210 - $145,814/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
