Engagement Manager

We're looking for an Engagement Manager to own Paraform's customer relationships end to end. Engagement Managers are the face of Paraform for every customer once they're on the platform — you own the relationship, the revenue it generates, and whether that customer hires with us again.

This is a highly commercial role spanning account ownership, engagement execution, offer closing, retention, and expansion. You'll work directly with founders and senior talent leaders to drive the hires that generate Paraform's revenue, and partner across Sales, Supply, Product, and Engineering to grow each account's usage of Paraform.

The ideal candidate is a hungry, client-obsessed operator who combines commercial instinct with fast-paced execution. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, motivated by a target, and excited to build a proactive account growth motion that Paraform has never run at scale.

What You'll Do

• Account Ownership: Build deep relationships with founders, CXOs, and senior operators. From the moment a customer lands on Paraform, you are their single point of contact — and you are accountable for the revenue your accounts generate.
• Engagement Execution: Lead structured intake calls, shape comp and requirements using market data, keep searches moving with urgency, and drive candidates through finals to a closed offer.
• Offer Closing: Own the offer stage — align expectations early, navigate negotiations, and get deals over the line. Every hire you drive is a direct win.
• Retention & Expansion: Drive repeat hiring through a proactive motion, alongside inbound servicing. Act on expansion signals, multi-thread into new hiring managers and teams, run quarterly and annual hiring planning with customers, test product-led upsell plays, and sell in Paraform's full product suite.
• Playbook Building: Write the playbooks and build the systems that let us scale proactive account growth across hundreds of accounts. This is a new function within Paraform and a chance to build 0 to 1 within a scaling business.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Pull in the Strategic Projects team's vertical expertise on complex searches, act on role health insights, and feed customer signals back to Sales, Supply, Product, and Engineering.

Required

• 3–6 years of experience owning customer relationships, driving business decisions, and owning revenue outcomes in account management, consulting, or high-ownership startup roles.
• A track record of retaining and growing accounts, not just servicing them.
• Experience selling to or managing relationships with founders, CXOs, or senior operators.
• Comfortable with performance-based comp and motivated by a target, not intimidated by it.
• Magnetic presence and customer skills — you earn trust quickly, hold the room with senior operators, and push back without losing the relationship.
• Sharp 80/20 instincts — you know where to spend your time and don't lose the thread across competing priorities.
• Hunger and scrappiness — you've moved fast under ambiguity and found the fix when the playbook didn't exist.
• Crisp written and verbal communication.

Preferred

• Experience in a high-growth marketplace, recruiting, or talent-adjacent business.
• Experience in an early stage expansion motion, building from scratch.
• Experience carrying and hitting a revenue or retention quota.
