Job Title: Production Lead
Location: Coppell, TX 75019
$27.50/hr
Schedule: Monday Friday | 9:45 PM 6:15 AM (Weekend flexibility required)

The Production Lead (3rd Shift) is a key leadership role responsible for supporting production operations across process, seasoning, and packaging areas. This position ensures seamless shift transitions, operational continuity, and adherence to quality, safety, and GMP standards.

The Production Lead acts as a liaison between junior operators and supervision, driving efficiency, cleanliness, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Shift Handover & Walkthrough

• Conduct joint walkthroughs with outgoing Senior Operator

• Communicate operational issues, equipment status, and pending tasks

• Verify cleanliness and readiness of all production areas

Pre-Shift Meeting & Planning

• Participate in daily pre-shift meetings

• Review production schedules, changeovers, and cleaning plans

• Support communication of daily plans to junior operators

Changeover & Cleaning Coordination

• Coordinate all changeovers and sanitation activities

• Ensure proper staffing and timely execution

• Verify availability of cleaning tools and materials

Quality & Compliance Audits

• Perform daily GMP audits across production areas

• Document findings in Fresh ability and escalate issues

• Lead product scoring and evaluation processes

• Collaborate with QA and production teams on corrective actions

Labor & Resource Allocation

• Review and validate staffing plans per production line

• Adjust labor based on real-time production needs

Material Readiness & Waste Management

• Prepare consumables for upcoming shifts

• Ensure proper waste sorting (cardboard, plastic, general, hazardous)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste areas

Rework & Hold Coordination

• Partner with QA on hold pallets and rework plans

• Ensure proper documentation and product traceability

Education & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of food manufacturing production experience

• Prior experience as a Production Lead or Senior Production Operator required

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of processing, seasoning, and packaging operations

• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards

• Experience with Fresh ability, Oracle Cloud, or similar systems preferred

• Ability to interpret production schedules and quality specifications

Language Requirement

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, allergens, and machinery

• Must be able to stand for extended periods

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for 8+ hours

• Food Manufacturing Production Lead experience required

• Must pass a background check (no misdemeanors or felonies)

• Must pass a drug test
