A Pizza Cook prepares and cooks pizzas and other menu items in an Italian restaurant while maintaining high food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen safety standards. They work closely with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared quickly and accurately.Rate: $23/ hourKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to restaurant recipesAssemble pizzas with correct ingredients and portion sizesCook pizzas using pizza ovens (deck ovens or wood-fired ovens)Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper qualityMaintain a clean and organized pizza stationRestock ingredients and supplies during shiftsFollow food safety and sanitation guidelinesAssist with basic food prep and kitchen tasks when neededSkills and QualificationsBasic cooking or kitchen experience preferredKnowledge of pizza preparation and cooking techniquesAbility to work in a fast-paced kitchen environmentAttention to detail and consistency in food preparationAbility to stand for long periods and work near hot ovensStrong teamwork and communication skillsWork EnvironmentBusy restaurant kitchenExposure to heat from ovens and cooking equipmentRequires standing, bending, and lifting during shiftsTypical SchedulePart-time or full-timeEvening, weekend, and holiday shifts often required
