Ranked in the Top 25 General Contractors, CMC is responsible for over $50 million in construction in a variety of projects including commercial, civil, and development in Texas.The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and supporting the Superintendent in preparing, monitoring, and adjusting project schedules, as well as managing submittals, RFI's, plan document management, project specifications, purchasing etc.Responsibilities include:General contract and subcontract administrationMonitor/document jobsite safety and accident preventionConstruction schedulingProcurement and expediting of material and equipmentMechanical, electrical and piping systems coordinationShop drawing/submittal review and coordinationProject cost review, reporting, updating and accountingReview of subcontractor applications for paymentParticipation in/documentation of project coordination meetingsSupervision/coordination of subcontractors' field installationsReview/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposal pricing for self-performed workChange order documentation and associated cost reporting and maintenanceResearch and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipmentMaintenance of As-Built plansQuality control and project closeoutQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management or EngineeringConstruction internship or other related construction work experience preferredGeneral knowledge of construction principles/practicesStrong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment
