Preschool Head Teacher (Age 3 4) Architect of Readiness. Standard-Bearer of Excellence. Compensation: $20$22 per hour (based on credentials and experience)

The Role: As our Preschool Head Teacher, you will lead a classroom of four and fiveyearolds through a developmentally grounded curriculum that prepares them academically, socially, and emotionally for pre-kindergarten and beyond. Your classroom will reflect your joy, your planning, your standards, and your passion for readiness. You will:

• Design and deliver daily lessons aligned with Balanced Learning Preschool curriculum frameworks
• Build early literacy foundations through engaging, handson experiences that strengthen phonological awareness, print concepts, vocabulary, and comprehension
• Develop early math skills: number sense, counting, patterns, shapes, and problem-solving
• Foster executive function skills: self-regulation, attention, and task completion
• Prepare students for kindergarten transitions, including school-day structure and behavioral expectations
• Conduct ongoing developmental assessments and communicate results clearly to families
• Lead strong family partnership practices including conferences, daily updates, and milestone communication
• Mentor and model for assistant teachers within your classroom

Education : Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education required; Virginia teaching licensure or CDA a plus
