Executive Director, Global Site & Study Operations, Americas
Amgen Inc
Executive Director role overseeing clinical trial site and study operations across the Americas for Amgen. Responsible for regional strategic leadership, operational oversight, and people management across Phase I-IV clinical trials in the US, Canada, and LATAM, ensuring compliant and timely trial delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide regional leadership and strategic direction for clinical trial operations across Americas countries
- Oversee initiation, management, quality, and completion of Phase I-IV clinical trials ensuring compliance
- Lead, develop, and mentor country and hub leaders to build high-performing regional teams
- Represent the region in global governance forums and portfolio decision-making discussions
- Manage resource allocation, budget utilization, and vendor performance across regional portfolio
Requirements
- Enterprise-level clinical operations leadership experience in study and site management
- Demonstrated portfolio-level strategic leadership and cross-functional influence capability
- Deep knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial compliance
- Experience leading geographically distributed teams across multiple countries and regions
- Expertise in modern site monitoring approaches and resource optimization strategies
- Background in clinical trial start-up, execution, and closeout processes
