Homewatch CareGivers of Western Cuyahoga Corridor is seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to clients in their homes, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks in the office when caregiver work is light. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. 

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. 

• Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs are met. 

• Medications as instructed 

• Help with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and cleaning, to maintain a safe and tidy environment. 

• Escort clients to appointments, social activities, and errands as needed. 

• Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the care team. 

• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and communicate effectively with team members. 

• Assist with scheduling appointments for clients, ensuring efficient coordination of services. 

• Assist with scheduling, preparing, and co-facilitating aspects of new employee orientation and onboarding. 

• Support office staff with data entry, filing, and maintaining client and caregiver records in compliance with privacy regulations. 

• Answer phones and respond to inquiries from clients and families, providing information as needed. 

• Participate in training and professional development sessions as required. 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:  

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and sometimes required. 

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus but not required. 

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients and families. 

• Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a desire to help others. 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

• Proficient in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and comfortable using technology for communication. 

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel in the [Franchise Location] area. 

Physical Demands:  

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the day, including traveling to different client homes. 

• Capability to lift, transfer, and support clients, including helping them get in and out of bed, wheelchairs, or other assistive devices, which may require lifting up to [Insert Weight]. 

• Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching to provide care. 

• Proficiency in using hands for tasks such performing procedures that require dexterity. 

• Ability to see and hear accurately to monitor and report changes in client conditions and communicate effectively with clients and team members. 

• Must be able to wear the required PPE (e.g., masks, gloves, gowns) for extended periods as needed for infection control. 

• Ability to work in various environments, including client homes, which may involve different levels of accessibility, lighting, and temperature.
