Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 3x12 hour shifts.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees while promoting a culture of safety for both patients and staff.

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses, collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation of all patient assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, ensuring comprehensive care through the nursing process.
• Initiate and manage discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning by supporting and reassuring staff, patients, and families.
• Identify and initiate personal professional growth opportunities through continuing education and self-study.

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
