Assistant Branch Manager - Madison Avenue Branch (Midtown) Job Category: Branch Requisition Number: ASSIS003750 232 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10016, USA Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for an Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) at its Madison Avenue Branch in Midtown Manhattan. The ABM will be responsible for the overall operational functions under the direction of the Branch Manager and possesses an in-depth comprehension of all branch operational procedures and bank products. Applicants should have strong retail banking operations experience, either currently or previously in their career. The hourly wage minimum = $28; maximum = $36. The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location. All applicants need to attach a recent resume. Responsibilities Responsible for day-to-day operations of the branch; ensuring efficient operations, compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and that staff adheres to policies and procedures set by the bank. Supervise Head Teller and Customer Service Associates, ensuring superior customer service that adheres to bank policy. Make continuing decisions regarding procedural questions and interpret bank policy for specific transactions. Possess in-depth knowledge of the bank’s products and services and provide appropriate solutions to customer’s financial needs. Support new business development efforts through in-branch sales, phone contact with customers, and direct mail campaigns. Make overdraft and other decisions within authority, review, submit, process, and close consumer loan requests. Maintain a neat, orderly, professional appearance of both the branch staff and the facility. Oversee branch operations when the Branch Manager is absent. Ensure accurate and timely Bank Secrecy Act reporting and completion of internal suspicious activity reports. Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements (BSA, Reg CC, DD, etc.) and provide ongoing training to staff. Ensure compliance with security policies and maintain testing of security devices. Control branch expenses in coordination with the Branch Manager. Participate in community activities and organizations. Be able to fill in on teller station if needed. Adhere to all bank policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years of banking and/or management experience preferred. Must be or become a notary public within 6 months. Advanced PC, Network, E‑Mail, Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, IT skills (relevant to the role). Knowledge of applicable regulatory aspects as documented in the compliance chart. Compliance with all state and federal regulations.
