Salary: $15.50 Hourly Location : Main Campus - Mattoon, Illinois Job Type: Student Positions Job Number: 202600538 Division: Business Services Department: Accounting Dept Opening Date: 08/24/2026 Closing Date: 9/4/2026 5:00 PM Central FLSA: Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit: N/A Description The Accounting Intern works approximately twelve hours per week in a position designated as Intern. Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks) Assist worksite supervisor in carrying out assignments specific to the designated assignment. Receive feedback from employer on job performance. Improve workplace skills such as computer skills, oral communication skills, and written communication skills. Develop accounting skills by working with general accounting duties. Specific Functional Job Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: No previous work experience required. Knowledge and Skills: Basic Accounting Knowledge. Personal: Ability to work independently; ability to follow directions, rules and guidelines; reliability and dependability; ability to maintain confidentiality.
